Slope Stability 2026: Webinar on Numerical Modeling of Pore Pressure to be Presented by Renowned International Specialist

Lima, November 27, 2025.- On Friday, December 5, the webinar “Numerical pore pressure modeling for drainage and depressurization plans: best practices and hydrogeology-geotechnics integration” will be held. This technical presentation will address key concepts for understanding and managing hydrogeological behavior in mining slopes, the Organizing Committee of the upcoming Slope Stability 2026 (SS2026) international conference announced.

Alexia Carpentier, Senior Hydrogeologist, Numerical Modeler, and Project Manager at DHI, a global leader in hydroenvironmental solutions, will present the session.

This webinar will also analyze the technical criteria for integrating numerical pore pressure modeling with geotechnical analysis. The presentation will include practical examples, evaluation methodologies, and recommendations based on experiences gained in high-level international projects.

“This is a unique opportunity for professionals in hydrogeology, geotechnical engineering, and risk management to delve into advanced drainage modeling and planning techniques,” said the SS2026 Organizing Committee.

Who Should Attend?

The webinar is aimed at professionals involved in hydrogeology, geotechnics, and risk management in mining and infrastructure.

The webinar will take place at 7:00 p.m. through Slope Stability’s official YouTube, LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram accounts. Attendance is free upon prior registration via Zoom at the following link: https://bit.ly/4oWkwRo.
