Lima, February 27, 2026.- On March 15, 2026, the registration deadline for the Research Poster Contest organized within the framework of Slope Stability 2026 aimed at university students and young geotechnicians with up to a year of graduation, said Luis Tejada Arata, leader of the Committee of Young Geotechnicians for Mining of SS2026.

Who can participate?

The poster competition aims to promote innovation and knowledge exchange in slope stability, offering young recent graduates, undergraduate students passionate about geotechnics a space to present their research and creative solutions applied in the geotechnical field.

"We want young people to connect with experts in the mining industry and make their proposals visible to the international geotechnical community," said Luis Tejada Arata, leader of the Young Geotechnicians Committee for Mining and co-chair of the SS2026 Organizing Committee.

Bases and application

This edition includes eight thematic axes: artificial intelligence, geotechnics, slope stability, hydrogeology, slope monitoring, mine closure, design optimization and geotechnical risks, key areas for the sustainable and safe development of mining projects. The poster abstract should Be presented in English and Spanish. If accepted, authors must submit a draft and then the final version of the article.
